Enhances the rate of early‑strength development without increasing cement content
• Reduces concrete permeability by lowering the water‑to‑cement ratio
• Regulates and improves slump and workability of fresh concrete
• Optimizes the hydration process
• Increases the ultimate strength of concrete
• Acts as a powerful high‑range water‑reducer (up to 30% water reduction)
• Prevents adverse effects caused by cold weather and insufficient curing
MABNA P‑A‑17 is a new‑generation polycarboxylate‑ether‑based chemical admixture that ensures optimum workability and durability of concrete under various climatic conditions—especially in cold weather—by significantly reducing the required mixing water and accelerating the initial setting.
This product provides an advanced performance similar to, yet superior to, conventional antifreeze additives (both powdered and liquid), offering an effective solution to overcome low‑temperature concreting limitations.
One of its most important characteristics is its ability to increase the rate of early‑strength development without the need to raise the cement dosage, which clearly distinguishes it from traditional lignosulfonate‑ and naphthalene‑based admixtures.
Its special formulation not only improves the slump and flowability of fresh concrete but also optimizes the hydration process, effectively preventing negative effects associated with cold conditions and inadequate curing.
Main Applications:
• Through effective surface adsorption on cement particles and increased electrostatic repulsion among them, MABNA P‑A‑17 optimizes the hydration process while simultaneously enhancing several key properties of both fresh and hardened concrete.
• Provides a significant reduction in the water‑to‑cement ratio without the unnecessary increase of cement content, resulting in higher compressive strength.
• Accelerates early‑strength development and reduces curing time — ideal for time‑sensitive construction projects.
• Improves workability and flowability, enabling faster placement and compaction, reducing labor requirements, and lowering overall execution costs.
• Delivers a superior performance level compared with older generations of plasticizers such as lignosulfonate‑ and naphthalene‑based admixtures.
• Enhances concrete pumpability and mechanical properties against creep and shrinkage.
• Fully compatible with all types of Portland cements and pozzolanic materials, without altering setting time.
• Chloride‑free and non‑corrosive, making it completely safe for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete.

Product Safety
This material is not classified as hazardous to health or the environment.
Avoid direct contact with eyes and ingestion.
In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.
This material is non-flammable.
Do not discharge into surface or groundwater; dispose of waste through a wastewater treatment facility.
• MABNA P‑A‑17 is a ready‑to‑use admixture and is fully miscible with water in any proportion. It can be used in both batching plants and truck mixers.
• In batching plants or mixers: The admixture should preferably be added together with the secondary portion of mixing water to ensure uniform dispersion and optimal efficiency.
• In truck mixers (ready‑mixed concrete): The required amount of admixture should be poured directly into the truck mixer, followed by mixing at high speed for 3–5 minutes. After achieving complete homogeneity, the concrete is ready for discharge.
• The recommended dosage range for this admixture is 0.1 %–1.7 % by weight of the cementitious materials.
• The exact dosage should be determined according to the concrete mix design conditions, based on laboratory or on‑site quality control tests to achieve desired performance.
• For dosage outside the specified range or for simultaneous use with other admixtures, it is advisable to consult the Technical and Research & Development Department of Shimi Yaran Alvand before application.
