According to international and national standards, a high-range water-reducing/superplasticizing admixture is defined as a material that, without altering workability, significantly reduces the mixing water content, or, without changing the water content, markedly increases slump or flow, or achieves both effects simultaneously. MABNA P‑N‑16 is a fourth-generation high-performance, polycarboxylate‑ether‑based concrete superplasticizer developed by the Research and Development unit of the Polycarboxylate Resin Production Division at Shimi Yaran Alvand Company. This product has been designed to produce concrete with a low water-to-cement ratio and high workability, and also demonstrates excellent performance in the production of self-compacting concrete (SCC).

Main Applications:

  • Execution of various structural elements, including piles, foundations, columns, walls, and slabs, with uniform compaction and high-quality surface finish.
  • Production and placement of prestressed and precast concrete with optimal workability and minimal air entrainment.
  • Enhanced effectiveness in injecting cementitious grouts such as soil nailing grout, shotcrete, and soil stabilization works through improved penetrability and adhesion.
  • Construction of water-retaining structures and low‑permeability concretes for use in tanks, canals, and projects in direct contact with surface and groundwater.
  • High compatibility with pozzolans and blended cements to improve mechanical properties and concrete durability.

      • Packaging: Available in 20 kg plastic containers and 1000 kg IBC tanks.

Product Safety

  • This material is not classified as hazardous to health or the environment.

  • Avoid direct contact with eyes and ingestion.

  • In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

  • If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.

  • This material is non-flammable.

  • Do not discharge into surface or groundwater; dispose of waste through a wastewater treatment facility.

Method of Use:

  • MABNA P‑N‑16 is supplied ready‑to‑use and can be mixed with water in any proportion. It is suitable for use both in batching plants and truck mixers.
  • In batching plants or stationary mixers: The admixture should preferably be added together with the secondary portion of mixing water, ensuring uniform dispersion and optimal performance.
  • In ready‑mix truck mixers: Add the required quantity of admixture directly into the mixer drum. Mix at high speed for 3 to 5 minutes to achieve complete uniformity, then the concrete is ready for discharge.
  • Dosage:

    • The typical dosage range for this admixture is between 0.1% and 1.7% of the total cementitious material weight.
    • The exact dosage should be determined based on mix design conditions and verified through quality control testing in the laboratory or at the project site.
    • For use outside the above range, or for simultaneous application with other admixtures, it is recommended to consult the Technical and Research & Development Department of Shimi Yaran Alvand prior to implementation.
